As a child, I remember being mad when I learned that my aunt read my journal, especially since I just wrote an entry there about her bad cooking. My diary (as how we call it back then) was the one place I was allowed to be freely unorthodox and completely truthful, even if unpleasant. Now, as a grown-up, I understand there are greater offenses than a bad recipe: it's withholding your conviction for fear of disapproval. It's why I designed a journal that's spread open. This time, you're invited to stay and read.

The blog itself, and the domain is an ode to Spain -- a breathing, unapologetic contradiction where both the words "relaxed" and "passionately loud" are valid ways to describe it in the same sentence. I am indebted to its narrow alleyways and unexpected corners; walking the city is a meditation in motion. My hope is to capture back those bursts of errant thoughts and express them here, for I am finally in a country where creative literacy is acknowledged and celebrated.
